And so what if I only date good-looking men
Who in their right mind will actively go out and seek to get involved with a person they find unattractive? If they tell you that looks don't matter than they are lying and dare I say they may be part of the 'not so cute' crowd. Yes of course there are more important qualities one must consider when choosing but I know I am not even thinking about how nice they are or how sexy their intelligence is if they are averaging a 6 or lower on the attractibility scale (and the scale goes from 0-10). I know it sounds shallow but it's real. Some people may be afraid to say it since it is not the politically correct thing to say (and I am so sick and tired of this whole p.c. thing...it really has gone overboard)...well i don't care. I will not even bother trying to get to know a man who I do not find attractive. I tried to date outside the box (i.e. unattractive men) on three different occasions but my interest level never made it very far no matter how nice or smart they were or how much money they had in their bank accounts. I have my own money so no golddigger here. I love looking at a good looking man and enjoy talking to him and getting to know him even more. The men I dated who were not handsome, well let's just say if I would have remained with them I would have cheated so why set myself up for failure... i moved on and learned more about what I like and did not like. I stopped faking, acting like I was more evolved in this area of my life and went for what I know...fine, fine, fine. I dare anyone to challenge me on this...if you could have an unattractive person with all the wonderful qualities you want and need and a handsome or pretty person with the same wonderful qualities, how many would go with the unnattractive one? Well if you pick the unattracative one I ain't mad at ya...that just leaves the better looking ones for us more shallow folks who are keeping it real.
John McCain and the Moose hunting mommy
Ok, is it just me who is wondering what the heck was McCain thinking giving this woman the second top spot in the country should we lose our collective minds and hand this man the presidency? What if he is incapicitated or dies while in office? This woman is one breath away from the presidency, so once again I ask what was he thinking? Or was he letting others make decisions for him and he was merely going along? Regardless that does not inspire much confidence in his decision making skills. He only met once and spoke with her once before flying her out and offering her up as his running mate. Only reason I care is because this man may very well become our next president (and I cringe at that thought) and I think she is ill prepared to lead this country and is basically a lose cannon. Actually, they both are...afterall they're calling themselves mavericks. She has been in caught in stretching the truths to where they really are lies and now there is the whole Troopergate controversy which brings to question integrity or better said, lack of. Now she is refusing to talk. I was always under the impression that if you did nothing wrong than there is no reason to not talk. Make us understand. I am all for women breaking the class ceiling but that does not mean I want some moose hunting, abstinence only preaching (and see how well that worked for her daughter), book banning (yes she also attempted that but failed), lying, out of touch ya-hoo being our next vice president or possibly president all because she is a woman. Maybe he picked her because she is pretty and got straight teeth.
How do you know what it is...
ok, is there a time frame for falling for someone...more than 2 years, less than a year, 2 weeks, 2 months...is there even a time frame or is it more dependent on the people involved? is it the newness that one mistakens for ’love’ or could it be the real thing? and is there such a thing as ’love at first sight’...that one i don’t buy...more like lust at first sight...the others...who knows? me and one of my buddies were debating it all...she’s more of a romantic but I am not as sure about any of it anymore as I once was due to my own experiences.
how do you explain the couple who marry after 2 weeks of knowing each other and they are celebrating their 50th or the couple who lived together for 10 years and than marry to only divorce after 6 months...oh, and both these couple I do know personally. the woman who had the 50th anniversary was the cleaning lady at my university for one of the buildings that I had a lecture in...another blog for another time.
and are men more romantic than women...i mean are they more romantic with ’the one’ when they have found her when compared to women. and I am not the most romantic person by nature I have been told, lol.
